Funds Distribution/Programs Committee
This committee is responsible for soliciting and reviewing applications for funding. Working within the financial guidelines provided by the board, the committee shall make a funding recommendation to the Board for ratification. The Board may only ratify the recommendation or deny it. This committee is also responsible for implementing the annual program plan to increase the community's capacity to address unmet needs. The Day of Caring is a function of the Programs/Fund Distribution Committee. This committee meets the third Thursday of each month at 10 am.
Fund Development/Marketing Committee
This committee shall be responsible for organizing and conducting the annual fund drive including workplace giving, direct mail solicitations and special events. This committee is also responsible for creating a marketing plan for the organization. This committee meets directly following the board meeting on the third Friday at 10:30 am
Day of Caring Committee
This committee is part of the Programs/Fund Distribution Committee. The Day of Caring is held in August each year. Teams as well as individual volunteers are always needed to complete a wide range of social service projects in one day. Team and local projects come together for a full day of impact. Also on this day is a free dump day for all Mason County Residents. This committee is responsible for event organization and planning. This committee meets on the third Friday of each month at 11:30 am.
Valentine Auction Committee
This committee is a function of the Marketing/Fund Development Committee. The annual Valentine's Day Dessert & Gift Auction is held in February on or just prior to Valentine's Day. Volunteers are needed to donate deserts as well to help set up and host the event. This is the only major fund raiser for the organization other than the annual workplace campaign. This committee is responsible for event planning. This committee meets monthly on the third Thursday at 11 am.
Youth United Committee
Youth United of Mason County is a group of young individuals getting involved in their community. Similar to Day of Caring, volunteers are matched with community projects, both one time and ongoing, to make a community impact. The youth are given credit. This committee is responsible for overseeing the youth, creating projects, supervising, attending the kick off and year end celebration. This group meets monthly on the Third Thursday of the month at 12:00 pm.
